Product description
Lithium fluoride (LiF) is used where transmission must extend further into the vacuum ultraviolet than many other optical crystals allow. It serves spectrometers, detectors, and specialized UV optical trains.
LiF is hygroscopic and mechanically delicate; polishing, packaging, and storage practices are critical. YC Infrared Optics produces LiF windows to drawing with careful surface finishing and protective packing for transit.
