Product description
Axicon lenses — also called cone lenses — transform a Gaussian beam into a ring or approximate Bessel intensity profile. They are used in laser machining, optical trapping research, and specialty illumination.
YC Infrared Optics fabricates axicons in optical glass and selected IR materials. Apex angle, diameter, and surface quality are specified by drawing. Coatings can be added for the laser wavelength to reduce Fresnel loss.
Because apex geometry drives ring diameter and depth of focus, we recommend sharing wavelength, desired ring size, and working distance early in the RFQ.
